"The realm of digital wizardry"

When I'm not totally immersed in the world of art, be it digital or otherwise, I tend to camp-out in my home recording studio. I don't often get the chance anymore but I used to be quite active in composing soundtracks for film, radio, and television. My last major project was for Against The Crowd Productions for an independent  film. I love music and I love art. Oddly enough they both had always been a little bit at odds with me. Then something remarkable happened... I discovered the world of digital! Instead of whiling away for hours on an accoustic piano playing Bach (which I love) I discovered synthesizers, samplers, and electronic percussion. I also found how much digital art was what I was missing. I love oil painting. I instantly loved airbrusing with acrylics. It wasn't until I found computer graphics software did I find what I was looking for. It just hadn't been invented yet.

Not to bore you with details but in case you're interested, my studio consists of several keyboards, synths and samplers from Roland, Korg, Yamaha, and Kurzweil. Digital recording is done on a Roland VS-880EX or directly into software (Cubase VST). Everything passes through Wavelab 2.0 at some point for mastering. There are also several software-level synths, samplers, and drum machines plus a few standalones from Roland and Alesis. CD's eventually get burned via Adaptech Software or the Roland's VS-880EX's dedicated CD burner.

Yes, I drink as much coffee as it seems.

I learned not to shine a laser-pointer directly into the camera that day.
